Murray James-Bosch, Lead Singer. Murray possesses a unique three-and-a-half-octave voice and has sung professionally for more than 25 years. His experience ranges from radio jingles and studio recordings to extensive touring while fronting several original and Top 40 bands, including Over The Garden Wall, a highly successful tribute to the rock group Genesis. In 2004, Murray was asked to sing for the Classic Albums Live series (www.classicalbumslive.com), performing The Police's first two albums, Outlandos D'Amour and Regatta de Blanc. Subsequent tours with the series included singing lead vocals for the Fleetwood Mac Rumours, U2 Joshua Tree, and Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon tours. When it comes to radio jingles, Murray is best known as the voice of Alarm Force. He has also performed lead roles in several Toronto-area theatre productions including Forever Plaid, The Mikado, My Fair Lady, Hello Dolly, Oliver, and Godspell.

 

 

 

Rob Angelow, Keyboardist. Rob has been in the Toronto music scene for over 20 years and has done much travel across North America and Europe with Wild T and the Spirit, Reckless, Classic Albums Live, and a number of tribute acts. His musical roots lie mostly in pop from the 60's, progressive rock from the 70's, and classic rock throughout the 60's, 70's and 80's. Favourite keyboardists are Ray Manzeric, Keith Emerson, Jon Lord, as well as Joey DeFrancesco and Oscar Peterson. A team player, Rob is passionate about being the best he can, on and off the stage.

 

 

 

Kim Campagnaro, Singer / Percussionist. Kim has been playing in Southern Ontario for over 20 years. Formally a bass player, Kim now concentrates on lead & harmony vocals while laying down some groovy percussion chops. His high energy delivery, becomes immediately infectious - a sure fire way to get a crowd on their feet! Trading off lines with Murray, they present chemistry similar to that of Sam & Dave, or The Blues Brothers

 

 

 

Robert Armitage, Guitar. Robert first picked up the guitar at age 12, learning from old records by bluesmen such as BB King & Lightning Hopkins but was also profoundly influenced by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Started playing in hometown of Kingston, Ontario in the early 70's while teaching guitar privately. Studied music at Queen's University. Robert has gigged in Panama (Contadora Island), Las Vegas, Atlantic City and NYC. He has gigged with various original and tribute acts over the years in the GTA. Robert co-founded Poppa Groove in the early 2000's, with drummer Derek, who he has been playing with for 10 years.

 

 

 

Geoff Loucks , Bass Guitar. After a brief stint on drums, jamming along to 'Wipeout' on the back of a car seat, driving his sister and brothers crazy, Geoff turned to bass guitar. Carrying a tune and playing bass were a natural fit, and plugged Geoff into the live music scene of the time. Twenty five years of playing with superb musicians and being influenced by great singer/bass players like Paul McCartney, Sting and Geddy Lee have honed Geoff's sound, allowing him to help create the rhythmic foundation of Poppa Groove.

 

 

 

Derek Wiegand, Drummer. Co-founder of Poppa Groove, Derek got his first drum set at age 4. Took formal lessons beginning in 1975 and started 'jamming' with his brother and friends shortly after. Both studio recordings and live performances started in 1982. He has taught drum lessons since 1987, and band lessons in recent years. Derek has performed with many local bands as well as tributes to Steve Miller, The Beach Boys, and Jimi Hendrix. While in Endless Summer, (Beach Boys tribute) 'the boys' were the backing band for Del Shannon, as well as Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits, in addition to opening up for Air Supply in New York. Derek has had the pleasure of performing at venues such as The Concert Hall (Masonic Temple), Lou Lou's in Kitchener, Riverfest in Brockville, The Concert Bowl (CNE Grounds), Oakville Place, and The Hamilton Convention Centre.
